  • Loving family, grew up in religious order
  • cast out of his family due to him developing heretical magic
  • his home city flooded in what he called divine retribution for casting him out
    • lot of innocent bystanders in that divine retribution

Madam Eva greets us before we enter her tent

Asked Madam Eva about “The horseman rides and the seer spoke true” - since she’s the seer

  • the horseman - Dalvin Olinsky from Village of Barovia
  • he wanted to escape the valley but she told him he’d die in the valley
    • so he ran out into the mists and died - “and the seer spoke true” 😁

Madam Eva saw a vision of us lifting the Curse of Strahd™️ so that people can leave the valley.

Eva told us of a Vistani encampment near Vallaki and to mention her for a discount there

We bumped into Laszlo

  • He had a story about a charismatic wizard who rallied a revolt a year ago
  • all the villagers who went with him were never seen again cept Doru
  • the wizard and The Devil Strahd had a spell fight! - raining down magic on each other
  • at the end of the fight the wizard fell a thousand feet into the river
    • Laszlo thinks he’s dead but offscreen deaths don’t count
    • especially when no body was found
  • Terry gave him a fake vision about Staten Island - a land he will in the future take over

Rowan gave a short story about the fire that destroyed his home and killed his parents. How he then went off to study under a forest paladin to learn to protect nature.

Sekhmet shared her backstory of growing up in a booming city of Waterdeep. Her and her brother, Zepher, were apart of a Tabaxi & Halfling found family. Their leader, Grandpa, went missing and she’s looking for him. Remembers him by a magic scarf that she has.

We then continue to drink and crash for the night there.

We head off to Vallaki in the morning. Another giant magical gate that opens on its own for us. With intimidating giant statues on either side on the road.

After an hour or so we find a road heading off the main road to a windmill that looks similar to the one on Rowan’s shield.
